Jef (1997) Ghent, Belgium

In a search for an alliance between his shredded fascination for images, imagery, nostalgia, melancholia, music and words he started his study at KASK. There he found that putting himself as a performer inbetween the material and working accross the boundaries of installation, performance, theatre and music, he could find ways to reanimate the material and open it up to an audience.

By the use of improvisation and by attaching great value to the powerfull fragility of a moment he tries to make work that becomes a joint experience for both maker and audience.

Jef graduated as master in Autonomous Design at KASK in 2021
